THE Second Annual Drake Durkee Foundation intentional day of kindness WILL BE ON JUNE, 10th 2017

The life of Drake Durkee tragically ended on June 10, 2015, at age 11, during a whitewater rafting tour in Buena Vista, CO. Drake excelled at life. He was a son, a brother to three, a student, a leader, an athlete, a friend, a football fan and a boy of faith. His spirited personality and work ethic inspired everyone around him. He had courage, strength and leadership abilities beyond his years. It was natural for him to show compassion and kindness – he knew no other way.

In honor of Drake Durkee and his unwavering ability to share warmth and kindness with others, the Drake Durkee Foundation asks community members to do an intentional act of kindness for someone on June 10. They have cards explaining the mission and importance of the day that can be handed out, along with stickers. When someone commits an act of kindness, they are asked to give out a card, along with one of the stickers, and ask others to do the same.
